Meet Our Nurse Consultant
Julie Powell hails from Michigan and is married to a retired U.S. Marine. They have three wonderful children together. Julie began her nursing career over 20 years ago, earning her BSN through a Navy ROTC scholarship at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). As a U.S. Navy Nurse during Operation Enduring Freedom, she discovered her passion for teaching and supporting others, which led her to pursue an MSN in Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Educator at Michigan State University (East Lansing).
Julie is a passionate advocate dedicated to nurturing and enhancing nursing education and practice, deeply believing in the potential for positive change in the lives of both students, faculty and patients. With a terminal degree in Nurse Executive Leadership from The Ohio University in Columbus, she has dedicated herself to this mission. Her extensive background in developing nursing programs, coupled with a deep understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards, led her to establish a consulting business that empowers nursing programs on their journey to success. Inspired by Helen Hayes' quote, "The expert in anything was once a," Julie embodies humility and a steadfast commitment to uplifting others on their paths.
